Walking the Path of Sound: My Journey into Sacred Music, Healing & Mysticism

From Curious Seeker to Committed Sound Healer –
A Personal Reflection on the Teachers, Traditions & Trainings That Shaped Me.

I often get asked the same heartfelt question:
“Where did you start?”

People who feel called to the sacred arts of sound healing or sacred chanting often reach out wondering how I got here—what courses I took, who I studied with, what philosophies influenced me, and which moments transformed me the most.

It’s not a short answer. In fact, it’s been a lifelong journey—a winding, soulful, and deeply committed path. So instead of summarizing it in a message or a coffee conversation, I’ve decided to share it here, in this blog post.

My hope is that this will serve not only as a window into my own sacred education but also as a compass for others who feel this calling and don’t know where to begin.

The Journey Begins: A Hunger for the Sacred

My path wasn’t a linear one—it spiraled through deep listening, heartbreak, wonder, discipline, and discovery. I didn’t wake up one day and decide to be a sound healer. It unfolded slowly, as I followed the trail of resonance and intuition—sensing there was something more to music than performance, something healing, ancient, and sacred.

It began with voice and silence. I was fascinated with how sound could open doors—not just to emotion, but to transformation, even transcendence. That was the spark.

The Pillars of My Study: The Threads That Shaped Me

Here’s an overview of the fields and philosophies that shaped my path—each of them a world unto itself. I didn’t just “take courses”—I lived these teachings, I traveled for them, I immersed myself in lineage, in teachers, in practice.

🎵 Sound Therapy
I trained in sound therapy modalities that explored frequency, resonance, and vibrational healing. Tibetan bowls, tuning forks, overtone singing, harmonic science—it all became a language I had to learn to speak fluently, with reverence.

🌿 Shamanic Healing Studies
I dove deep into indigenous traditions and ceremonial work. I studied with medicine men and women who showed me the power of rhythm, ritual, and nature’s song. Shamanic drumming, plant spirit communication, and ancestral sound journeys—this work changed my entire relationship with healing.

🎶 Healing Music Trainings & Voice Alchemy
I explored voice not just as an instrument, but as a channel—for spirit, for story, for energy. Through voice alchemy, I began to understand how to unlock my own vocal codes and help others do the same. It became one of my most powerful tools for healing.

🕊️ Islamic Mysticism & Sufism
This tradition gifted me the heart of devotion. I spent years immersed in Sufi philosophy, the poetry of Rumi, and sacred chanting practices (dhikr). These teachings reshaped my soul. They taught me that every note, every breath, every sound could be an act of remembrance.

🧘‍♀️ Eastern Meditation & Philosophy
From Vedic chanting to Buddhist mantras, I drew from the deep wells of Eastern thought. The precision, the intention, the stillness—these studies refined my discipline and deepened my understanding of energy and subtle awareness.

✨ Energy Healing & Esoteric Studies
I trained in in Quantum Touch energy healing systems—These modality helped me weave sound into the energetic body with purpose and clarity.

🌍 Sociology, Philosophy & Humanitarian Work
Before (and alongside) my healing work, I studied the human condition—academically and in the field. Working in humanitarian settings shaped my heart and perspective. It grounded my spirituality in service, and taught me that true healing must include compassion for the collective.

Why I’m Sharing This

Because I know what it’s like to search and not know where to begin.
Because I wish someone had written something like this when I was starting.
Because every person who hears the call to healing through sound deserves guidance, inspiration, and community.

If you feel drawn to this path, trust that. And also—commit. This work asks a lot of you. It’s not always easy. But it’s worth it. You’ll be transformed in ways you can’t yet imagine.

Here’s where the journey gets detailed…

These are the schools, mentors, and teachings that truly changed me and helped me become who I am today.
